Both parties to have candidates in May 27 runoff elections

None of the candidates are for local seats.

It ain’t over until it’s over.

Candidates from both parties who didn’t get “50 percent plus one” of the vote in primary races with three or more candidates will now put the second-place finishers in their respective races in a May 27 runoff election.

The victorious candidates in the run-offs will face the candidate from the opposing party in the Nov. 4 general election.

The Gray County Elections Office is still finalizing polling locations and other details. That information will be published in the newspaper when it becomes available.

However, the elections office has sent a list of candidates from both parties who will be on the runoff ballots:

Republican Party
