Robert E. Hartley

Robert E. Hartley, 80, of Pampa passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 in Pampa.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Hartley was born May 7, 1940 in Lockney to Kermit and Eva Mae Hartley. He attended school in Pampa and served in the United States Navy. He worked for Cabot Machine for many years and retired from National Oilwell. After retiring, he worked for Pampa Independent School District and Walmart for several years. Robert married Mary Trisler on September 17, 1978 in Pampa. He enjoyed fishing and camping, especially at Cabot Ranch and was a great handyman. He could fix just about anything. Robert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Rodgers; grandson, Austin Rodgers; and brother, Kenneth Hartley. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; 2 daughters, Marilyn Ball and husband Geary and Cheryl Weeden and husband Jay all of Pampa; 2 sisters; 7 grandchildren, Brandon Rodgers of Pampa, Norman Rodgers of Lubbock, Ryan Weeden, Bryce Weeden, Payton Rodgers, Hannah Ball, and Lesley Ball all of Pampa; 4 great grandchildren, Jordenn, Quin, Brynlee, and Ana Leah.

Memorials can be made to a favorite charity.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their love and care of Robert.
