James L. Fulton, 89, of Pampa, passed away on January 9, 2024, in Pampa.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Pastor Rodney Weatherly, a retired Baptist minister, and Pastor Kyle Collins of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating. A burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. 

James was born on February 4, 1934, in Alanreed to Jiggs and Dottie Fulton. After school, he proudly served his country by enlisting into the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, he married Donna Trout on November 22, 1959, and they shared almost 63 years of marriage and five children before she preceded him in death in 2022.

James had a long career with Cabot, and he retired after 39 years of service. In his spare time, he appreciated the outdoors where he liked to camp, fish, and spend time at the lake. He was a long-time member of Barrett Baptist Church, and later Cornerstone Baptist Church. James taught and shared his Christian values with his children and family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a sister, Betty Jo Yates; and by several special brothers & sisters-in-laws.

His survivors include, 4 sons, Steven Fulton of Pampa, Kenny Fulton and wife Kelli of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Doug Fulton and wife Rebecca of Pampa, and Kevin Fulton and wife Cindy of Pampa; a daughter, Jamie Marchman and husband Dale of Perryton; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild on-the-way; brother, Cecil Fulton of Holbrook, AZ; 3 sisters-in-law, Bonnie Baker of Amarillo, Joyce Ortega of Amarillo, and Maudi Alexander of Lefors; and other extended family.
