Lady Harvesters secure second seed with 10-0 over Perryton

The Pampa Lady Harvesters (22-6-1, 7-2) secured the second seed in the District 4-4A playoff race Monday when they knocked off the Perryton Rangerettes 10-0.

Sophomore Kynleigh Kirby had another terrific outing as she pitched six innings with a dozen strikeouts and only gave up a pair of hits. Freshmen Cassidy Stanhope had an inside-the-park home run that scored freshmen Maecie Hawthorne and McKinley Daniels in the bottom of the fifth to extend their lead to 5-0.

The Harvesters added another five runs scored by freshmen Briley Daniels, Carsyn Hunt and an RBI double from junior Hallie Hawthorne (who would later score on an RBI walk).

The win secures the No. 2 seed in the District 4-4A playoffs and they will wrap up the season with a road game at Canyon on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
