Pampa High School has two student-athletes bound for State! Congratulations to Harvester Tennis players Mason Bagwell and Terry Ketchum for qualifying for the State Tournament in boys doubles in Austin at the end of April. We’re so proud of their accomplishments this season. In other awesome news, Harvester Basketball player Huston Skinner will represent Pampa High School in the Golden Spread All-Star game. Way to go Huston! Monday was an evening filled with celebrations. The district hosted our first-year educators at their annual First Year Teacher Academy Graduation. It was an awesome event where our first-year educators got to share some of their insights and personal visions. At PHS, we’re blessed to have found 5 awesome first-year educators who are servant leaders and devoted to our students. It was great to pause and honor their service to our campus this year. Monday night the Lady Harvester Basketball team capped off their year with their basketball banquet. It was great to spend time with this special group one more time. Lady Harvester Softball (Monday) and Harvester Baseball (Tuesday) traveled north to Perryton and both left with big district wins! Tuesday PHS Choir displayed their talents at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest. Our two Women Choirs earned sweepstakes as well as our Mixed Choir. Men’s Choir was awarded a 1st Division rating on Stage. Way to go Choir! Wednesday and Thursday saw our Harvester Track athletes competing at their district meet. Our men’s and women’s teams competed with P.R.I.D.E. and had several district champions and numerous athletes advance to the Area Track Meet on April 20th. The week ended with Harvester Baseball and Lady Harvester Softball hosting Borger. Both programs walked away victorious over our rivals (always an awesome experience) and more importantly, kept pace in a tight district race for playoffs! Saturday, our AG students were at Texas Tech and competed in Meats, Livestock, Entomology, and Horse judging. It’s such an exciting time of year for our campus and community and I’m so thankful to be a part of it. Have a blessed week and remember it’s a great day to be a Harvester!
