Salon 118 has quickly grown into more than just a hair salon, with a wide range of services to offer, they’ve now added the addition of a nail tech. Ana Rodriguez, who moved from Florida to Pampa two years ago. Rodriguez moved to Pampa to be closer with family.

“I always really liked having my own nails done, so doing them for myself was a way to save money,” Rodriguez said. “Once I really got into doing it, I started doing it for my friends.”

Rodriguez started at Clarendon College in January of this year, and completed schooling by October. New to the game, but with experience and knowledge in the new trends people are going for. Before graduation, Mollie East, the Owner of Salon 118 offered her a job upon completion of schooling.

“She offered me the job before I’d even finished school,” Rodriguez said. “So I landed her right out of schooling and it was such an honor and blessing to me.”

As of December 16, Rodriguez is open for business and clientele.

“Being here is just a blessing, since getting here I have already started booking regulars and building up my clients,” Rodriguez said. “This is just such a great place to work at, the environment is so nice. I really want to thank Molli for this opportunity, it means so much to me.”

The goal for Rodriguez is to build a solid clientele base and eventually manufacture her own nail products.
“I want to really make this my career,” Rodriguez said. “A five year goal would be to be able to manufacture my own products I get to use on my clients. It would be so cool.”

A lot of her current clients are folks she worked on while being in school at Clarendon.

Her work is featured on her Instagram page at nailed.by.anaa and bookings can be made by contacting Ana at (806)886-1140
