Sharyl Lanette Darnall, age 77, of Oscoda, spending winters in Lefors, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Tawas Village.
She was born on June 9, 1946 in Ringwood, Okla. to Wilbur and Betty (Koons) Kemph.
Sharyl married Mervin Gene Darnall on Dec. 26, 1965 and from that day forward, she devoted herself to raising her family. Above all, Sharyl loved her husband and family.
She also had a love for nature, especially bluebirds and flowers and enjoyed hiking, canoeing, sailing and camping.
Sharyl is survived by her loving husband, Mervin; children, Ernie (Terri) Darnall, Randy (Colleen) Darnall and Kevin (Janet) Darnall; mother, Betty Kemph; brothers, RJ (Honey) Kemph, Monte (Marie) Kemph and Doug (Cindy) Kemph; sister, Janeen (Carl) Baumgardner; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Kemph.
The family will welcome friends on Saturday, April 27, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 11 a.m. at Tawas Area Presbyterian Church with Reverends Sue Hand and Jan Chambers officiating.
The funeral service will be live-streamed via the Tawas Area Presbyterian Church Facebook page for anyone who is unable to attend the service in person.
Interment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery on Monday, April 29, at 1:30 p.m.
