The Pampa Community Concert Association (PCCA) is closing out its 2022 - 2023 season with the famous Nashville-based trio, Hits & Grins. This high-quality Country band features two Grammy-nominated songwriters and a Country Radio Broadcast Hall-of-Famer.

Glennette Goode, Pampa Community Concert Association’s Treasurer, describes the success of the concert season.

This concert season has been good, it has been well received,” Goode said. “Our most popular show so far was the Atlantic City Boys. We’ve also had a 70s Rock Group, Vinyl Radio, and a classical string quartet, the Harrington String Quartet, perform for the community. We bring in a variety of acts so that there is something for everybody.”

Booking these exquisite performances is no small feat. The PCCA is proud to partner with Live On Stage, an entertainment service company that books acts nationwide. Goode spoke highly of the quality of service Live On Stage provides.

“The PCCA has thoroughly enjoyed the relationship we have with them,” Goode said. “If there is any issue with the acts, Live On Stage comes up with a comparable or better act to replace them. It gives us a lot of comfort knowing there will be artists showing up to shows and the quality they will be.”

Though this concert season has come to an end, the lineup for the 2023 - 2024 season has already been announced. As the PCCA books performs 12 to 18 months in advance, the upcoming concert season will feature acts from Key of G! A Garth Brooks Tribute, The Suites, The Starlets, and the Jason Fabus Trio. As well, the Harrington String Quartet will be returning to Pampa!

The PCCA has a reciprocal agreement with Borger and Plainview where each association’s members may attend the other associations’ shows with their local membership card for no extra charge.

Goode gave insight into one of the future performers.

“The booking agents were raving about Key of G! The Garth Brooks Tribute,” Goode said. “Tribute bands tend to sound similar to the original. However, Key of G! sounds exactly spot on”

Goode expresses her appreciation for the people who have made the current concert season a rousing success.

“I’d like to thank the board. There are a lot of people who pitched in this season,” Goode said. “Jenifer Richards has been helpful in setting up food for everybody, and Sandy Crosswhite is helping at the auditorium. Rick and Cathy Amerson are new to the board, they have been helping put posters out and spreading the word. Our Co-Presidents, Stephanie Nelson and Stacy Pepper, are both very involved with music in the area. Everyone is active and involved in the community, we appreciate that.”
