Who are you gonna call? Riley Lindley– that’s who.

It’s no secret that Pampa has a favorite artist when it comes to having their windows painted. If you ask for suggestions around town, Riley Lindley’s name will almost certainly come up.

Lindley started painting windows during her senior year at Pampa High School and has steadily received requests to paint more in windows in subsequent years.

“I started out just doing senior windows my senior year. I did it (painted) for myself and a couple of friends for fun then because we were seniors, it was cool,” Lindley said.

After graduating from Pampa High School in 2017, Lindley moved to Kansas; but that didn’t stop the requests for her painting services from rolling in.  She travelled home to Pampa the following year in 2018 to paint her younger sister’s senior window, as well as a couple of her friends’ windows. This trend continued in subsequent years, though it slowed down slightly due to her living out-of-state.

In 2021, Lindley’s younger brother entered his senior year and the commissions started to pile up on Lindley once again.

“I did his windows and his friends’ windows. Now this year, I’ve moved back and hitting it hard,” Lindley said.

Lindley’s window painting service now provides extra income for herself and her one-year-old son, while also maintaining her day job at the hospital in patient regristration.

After moving back to Pampa, local businesses started reaching out to her to have their windows painted as well with Pampa Furniture Exchange being her first commercial window-painting commission.

“I just recently met with one of the nail salons in town to do one of their windows too,” Lindley said.

Lindley makes sure that her prices are fair for the local market.

“Senior window pricing starts out at $45 base cost, it goes up from there depending on how many windows they want painted. Business window pricing varies depending on the size of the window, but I start out with a base price of $200 and go from there,” Lindley explained.

“I try to keep it as affordable as possible with it being a small town, especially with the seniors because I know a lot of them are paying for it out-of-pocket themselves.”

In addition, Lindley has said that she will be painting two windows for free this year for two lucky seniors.

“I want to be able to do at least two senior windows for free this year for seniors who can’t afford it out of pocket,” Lindley said.

She has recently created a page on Facebook called Sunflower Flair; so be on the lookout for her post with information about how to enter the giveaway.

Lindley uses acrylic paint for painting windows, but is also toying with the idea of using house paint as well this year after a suggestion from her old art teacher who told her it would last longer.
