Frozen Fever Snowcone’s annual pumpkin patch is now open
Frozen Fever Snowcone’s annual pumpkin patch is now open and ready for visitors. Although there are no children’s games this year, there will be more photo opportunities along with snacks, pumpkins, a treasure chest and an online pumpkin-decorating contest.
“I’m not going to do games this year, because I don’t have anyone to help me sanitize. I do have three different photo areas and I’ve got some photographers set up,” said Becky Hilton, owner of Frozen Fever Snowcones.
“The photo areas were built by Ervin Mason. The photographers are Kensie Drew Photography, she is here on the weekends; and Walkin’ R Photography is here during the week. You can set up appointments with them on their (respective) websites.”
“They can get get up to 10 photos for $10 or five photos for $5 with a $10 purchase (at the pumpkin patch). The pictures will be e-mailed directly to them (purchaser).”
There will also be fall-themed snacks available again this year, along with pumpkins ranging from $1 to $7.
“I have baked goods, monster fur cotton candy and caramel ‘corn-on-the-cob,’” Hilton said.
“And on the pumpkins, I’ve mostly got Jack-O-Lanterns and the minis.”
There is also a treasure chest near the snowcone stand, and kids each get a free toy from it for visiting.
“I’ve got a mixture of little knick-knacks in there like bracelets, airplanes and paddle-balls,” Hilton said.
The hours for the pumpkin patch this year are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. and is located at 1313 Alcock in Pampa.
The pumpkin-decorating contest will be held online.
“I have an online pumpkin-decorating contest this year because I didn’t have anything for the kids to do. They have until Oct. 5 and I have a $25 Visa giftcard for the first-place prize.”
Those who would like to participate in the online pumpkin-decorating contest can submit their photos to Frozen Fever Snowcone’s Facebook page.
