Gin General Manager Carey McKinney said the gin processed 260 bales on the first day and have done about 1,600 bales since.
The gin is currently operating a day shift but as more cotton comes in they will look to add a night shift. McKinney said Lonestar Gin hopes to add 18 more employees as cotton ginning season rolls on.
