Texas Panhandle family is raising money for life-saving surgery for their newborn son
AMARILLO - Romeo Valvarde was born on Aug. 21 in Amarillo with a ruptured intestine. His parents, Eloy Valverde and Daisy Huerta of Amarillo are raffling off their 2015 Honda Grom to help pay for their sons fourth surgery in a series of several that are needed in order to keep the baby healthy.
The infant is being cared for at a hospital in Amarillo, and going back and forth to the hospital has made it hard for the parents to work full-time while also being there for their son who needs them.
The 2015 Honda Grom has 2,000 miles and is worth around $2,000. The mini-bike is fitted with several aftermarket parts including a stunt/crash cage, sub-cage, heavy duty clutch, white wall tires and more. These parts are worth roughly $1,000 in addition to the value of the bike itself.
Raffle tickets are virtual and are only $50 each. You choose your own number between 1 and 50, and the drawing will be held as soon as all 50 tickets are sold. To purchase a raffle ticket, you can contact Eloy at 806-283-2829.
The family is also accepting donations through CashApp as additional support aside from the raffle. Their CashApp tag is $ValverdeInc if you would like to donate to help this family through this trying time.
