Bobbie Dale ‘Bob’ Caddel

Bobbie Dale “Bob” Caddel, 84, of Kingsland, Texas passed away October 10, 2020. He was born to Jack and Audie (Thompson) Caddel on September 10, 1936 in Mangum, Oklahoma.
Bob married Mary Tinkler on June 7, 1957 while working for Phillips Petroleum. Shortly after their wedding, Bob joined the Air Force National Guard. After his honorable discharge, Bob worked as a butcher at Hom and G’s for a short time before going to school to be a barber. Bob made many friends while working for City Barber in Pampa, Texas and finished his barber career at the Coronado Inn Barber Shop. While working as a barber, Bob attended auctioneer school. He traveled extensively as an auctioneer and was well known as the voice of the auction for the Top of Texas Livestock Show and Kid Pony Show. He served on the board for the rodeo for twenty years and served for a few years as the Vice President. He loved being a part of the rodeo, it took him back to his roots when he was an amateur team roper in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Bob was also a professional predator trapper for many years. He trapped and sold pelts and also raised mink. He retired from the Texas Railroad Commission in the 1990’s.
Bob was well loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed trapping, calling wild game, and going on hunting expeditions to Colorado. He loved to fish and was a member of a bass fishing club in Pampa, Texas. Bob accepted Jesus Christ as a young man and he and Mary re-affirmed their faith later in life. Although he did not belong to a specific Church, he was a member of the Baptist faith. He and Mary loved traveling the country and attending bluegrass jam sessions and attending their Bluegrass Church services. .
Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Caddel of Kingsland, Texas; his daughter Jackie Hood and husband Daryl Hood; grandson Zachary Hood and wife Niki Hood; as well as his two great grandsons, Jace Ryan Hood, Luke Zachary Hood. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Caddel and wife Kay of Lubbock, Texas.
