Jake Tolbert, 15, of Miami passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020.
Services will 10:00 AM Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Briarwood Church in Pampa with Rev. Richard Royal, pastor of First Christian Church in Miami, and Brian Doughty, lay pastor at Trinity Fellowship Church in Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. The service will be live streamed at https://www.carmichael-whatley.com/page/live-streaming.
Jake was born September 23, 2005 in Pampa. He has attended Miami schools since kindergarten and was currently a freshman at Miami High School. Jake was one of a kind and was always the center of attention no matter where or what the occasion was. As he was growing up, he loved hanging out and working with his two older brothers. Jake also enjoyed his time spent with his Papa cooking on the chuckwagon. He was active in school activities and learned and became a very good welder. Jake was creative and made a beautiful belt buckle that he was proud of and wore daily. He was kindhearted and had a great personality that will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Tolbert and great grandfather PeeWee Romines.
He is survived by his mother, Sheila Budd and husband Doug of Pampa; his father, Scott Tolbert and wife Barbara of Pampa; 2 brothers, Drake Tolbert and Tate Tolbert both of Miami; grandparents, Janie Tolbert of Miami, Keven and Janet Romines of Pampa; great grandmother, Vivian Romines of Pampa; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
