Margie Lee Riemer
Margie Lee Riemer, 93, of Pampa, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 in Pampa. She was born May 17, 1927 to Edgar and Bertha Smith in McLean, Texas.
On June 4, 1942, she married Otto Riemer also of McLean. Together, they raised three children, Eddie, Keith, and Rebecca. Shortly after the children were of school age, Margie went to work at Robert E. Lee Junior High School as a baker in the cafeteria. She was employed there from 1963 until 1977. Margie was then hired as a switchboard operator for First National Bank and remained there until her retirement in the late 80’s. She was a longtime member of the Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ. Although Margie had a steady career for many years, her top priority always remained her family, first and foremost. She cherished her time together with family and friends and was thrilled at any opportunity to cook and bake for them. Margie will be missed by many.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents; her loving husband and son, Eddie Riemer.
Those left here to reminisce and cherish precious memories are her son, Keith Riemer and wife Nita of McLean, Texas; her daughter, Rebecca Law and husband Tim of Fort Collins, Colorado; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean, Texas, alongside her husband and son. There will not be any services.
Please leave condolences for Margie’s family on her Book of Memories at www.winegeartfuneral.com.
