Nell Larkin

Nell Larkin, 99, of Pampa passed away on January 24, 2021 in Pampa.

Graveside services will be 2:00 Friday, January 29, 2021 in Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Keith Feerer, minister from Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. The family asked that face covering be worn to the service.

Nell was born November 5, 1921 in Altus, Oklahoma to Reuben and Louada Claunch. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1939. On May 5, 1941 she married the love of her life, Nelson Larkin. He passed away on February 10, 1966. Nell graduated from Highland General Hospital LVN program in 1968. She worked at Highland General Hospital until 1986, when she retired. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower garden, mowing her own grass, cooking for her family, and crossword puzzles. Nell was an accomplished seamstress and loved to sew. She was a long-time member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. Nell loved the Lord and loved to serve others, especially her family. 

Nell was preceded in death by her parents; son, Don Larkin; daughter, Charlotte Hayes; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Survivors include 3 sons, Larry Larkin and wife Mimi of Mansfield, Lloyd Larkin and wife Mary of Amarillo, and Ron Larkin and wife Kay of Pampa; a sister, Betty Crable of Pampa; 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank Meredith Place and Coronado Healthcare for their love and care for Nell.
