Brenda Darnell Lamb, 75, of Pampa, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Joel Osborne, pastor, officiating. 

Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Brenda was born on July 31, 1948 in Fort Worth to Louis Boyd “Bo” Freeman, Sr. and Loice Bruce Williams. 

She was raised in and around Fort Worth until she moved to Pampa in 1976. 

Brenda began her career as a hairdresser in 1971. She owned and operated Hair Benders Beauty and Tanning Salon from 1986 to 1991. 

Brenda also worked as a dispatcher for the Borger Police Department and Gray County Sheriff’s Office.

Brenda had been a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church since 1976. She also played the organ on and off for the church since 1979 and played at Grace Baptist Church for a short time as well. 

Brenda had also been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1978.

She enjoyed baking, gardening, and playing bingo wherever she could.

Brenda took great pride in her appearance and would do her own nails often.

She also enjoyed going to Goodwill and getting up early to check out local garage sales. 

However, nothing was as important to Brenda as her family, she loved spending as much time as she could with her grandbabies. She was true embodiment of what a “Mamaw” should be. 

Brenda will be deeply missed by all of those that knew and loved her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Bo Freeman, Sr. and Loice Bruce Williams; one daughter, Michell Conrad; one grandson, Zachery Doan; one son-in-law, Brian Conrad; and one brother, Benny Freeman.

She is survived by her two children, Mark Lamb and wife MaryAnn of Pampa and Melody Lamb Williams and husband Ronny of Bedford; her stepfather, John Williams; six grandchildren, Mark Lamb II and wife Trisha, Justin Lamb and wife Alicia, Kyndall Montoya and husband David, Robin McCright and husband Keaton, Eljyah Williams, and Ember-Lynn Williams; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four brothers, Boyd Freeman and wife Kaye, Windell Freeman and wife Jennifer Palos, Welton

Freeman and wife Terry, and Wayne Freeman and wife Margot; and her best friend, Carol Reed.
