Fletcher Br0s Offers a Pampa First in Cuisine

The Fletcher Br0s is Pampa’s newest addition for some good eatin’, and their southern classics, mouth-watering burgers, and Navajo Taco has the town flocking to that bright red trailer, selling them out the few days they have been open for business.

Open from 4 AM to 2 PM (or until they sell out), Fletcher Br0s has it all covered, from breakfast burritos and toasters all day to a philly cheesesteak, or the childhood delicacy that is the fried bologna sandwich.

But the star of the show, the very first item listed on their lengthy and impressive menu is the Navajo Taco which has gained the attention of the locals.

The filling Navajo Taco consists of a piece of traditional, made-from-scratch frybread topped with chili, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream and cheese.

It’s certainly hard to find around these parts and the customers that have ordered one from the Fletcher Br0s have expressed their pleasant surprise to see it on the menu, as you can usually get them in places like New Mexico and Arizona.

The Navajo Taco has become such a hit that customers have been requesting that they sell individual pieces of the frybread, which the Fletcher Br0s has kindly added to their menu at just $2.00 a piece.

“The Navajo Taco is my grandpa’s recipe. A Native woman showed him how to make it, and when we got together as family back in the day when I was a kid, that’s what we had,” Thomas said. “When we came over here to grandma and grandpa’s house, the Navajo Taco is what we had. Everything made from scratch, the frybread and chili. It’s a simple meal, but it fills you up pretty quick.”

Thomas and Bud Fletcher gained quite the restaurant experience when their mother would send a taxi to their home to pick up the brothers and bring them to her own restaurant to work at a very early age.

“My mom owned a restaurant when my brother (Bud) was in first grade and I was in kindergarten and she would have us up there before school and we would be rolling silverware and wiping tables and getting the salad bar ready,” Thomas said. “We moved to Pampa when I was in first grade and mom managed Dos Caballeros for several years.”

During their adult years, the Fletcher Brothers worked around the Texas Panhandle, but the idea of having their own restaurant was always brought up in conversation until one day they finally decided to go for it.

“We were all talking about having our own restaurant and we decided to just do it. It was a good time to just go ahead and do it. It’s been in the works for several years, and here we are.”

Thomas, his wife Esmy, and Bud opened their window to the public this past Friday for a soft open, selling out that first day. The same can be said for that Saturday night as well, so it came as no surprise when they sold out on their Grand Opening on Tuesday.

The buzz of happy customers has been all over Facebook, folks impressed by not only their menu, but also the quality of the food and affordable prices. When asked what their most popular items were, of course the Navajo Taco, BBQ burger and philly cheesesteak was at the top of the list.

Fletcher Br0s are open Tuesday through Friday from 4 AM until 2 PM. Their normal location will be on the lot of Atomic Ice House #2 on the corner of Price Road and Alcock, but expect to see them in the many events that Pampa has year round, including the So Long Summer Labor Day Celebration hosted by the City of Pampa and Chamber of Commerce on Monday, September 2 in Central Park.

While they are working on a weekend schedule that will be announced at a later date, they will be at Walmart this Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM.

To view their menu and schedule of where they may go for an event, visit their Facebook and Instagram, and to place an order, call 806-662-0556.

With these busy few days, Thomas, Bud and Esmy are now fully prepared and are extremely excited to begin this new chapter in the community they love and call home.
