PHS played in the Seminole tennis tournament this weekend and had some outstanding results. Overall finished 1st as a team with everyone contributing to the win. In individual play we continued with some great play from players, as well as some great play from some that had been having some struggles. Coming home with 11 players earning medals. In girls doubles the team of McKenzie Woods / Samantha Alderete played some of the best tennis they have played this spring falling short in the finals taking 2nd place. The other girls double team of Grace Guymon / Maddison Sorrell also saw some success placing 1st in consultation. In mixed doubles the team of Madi Sloan / Clark Allen continued to play some great matches but fell just short in the finals to finish 2nd. The team of Brookelyn Sirmans / Michael Sims also played well finishing 5th. In boys singles Kaden Brown is continuing so show great signs of success finishing 3rd, while Brandon Martinez finished 8th. In girls singles Isabella Wright finished 12th. In boys doubles both teams had a great tournament with Mason Bagwell / Terry Ketchum continuing to play outstanding and won the tournament after they defeated their own teammates in the finals Jorge Estrada / Eric Vick who played some of their best tennis this spring finishing 2nd. All the teams played awesome tennis this weekend and I was very proud of their performance. Next tournament this Friday in Levelland.
