The Pampa Lady Harvester volleyball team opened district 4-4A play as they hosted the Canyon Lady Eagles on Saturday at McNeely Fieldhouse. Canyon would come out strong and sweep the Lady Harvesters in three games.
Prior to the start of the game, the Lady Harvesters honored First Responders around the area.
Canyon started out strong in game one, taking a 14-1 lead. Pampa would eventually close the gap, but Canyon would go on to win the first set by a final score of 25-9.
Set two was a different story for the Lady Harvesters. Pampa jumped out early and at one point led Canyon 10-6. Canyon would chip away at the lead and eventually tied the game up at 16. The two teams would go back and forth the next few points and the score would again be tied at 21. Canyon would once find its rhythm late in the set to take the second set by a score of 25-22.
In the third set, Canyon would lead from the start and eventually pull away for a 25-16 victory.
With the win, Canyon moves to 1-0 and Pampa falls to 0-1 in District 4-4 play. In other 4-4A action, Hereford defeated Dumas three games to one, Randall swept Perryton and West Plains swept Borger. After week one Randall, West Plains, Canyon and Hereford are1-0 and Pampa, Borger, Dumas and Perryton are 0-1
