On June 13, 2023, the Lefors Memorial Heights Cemetery lost its veterans flagpole due to a severe storm that swept through the area.
Donnie Winegert, the Lefors ISD welding teacher and a few students built a beautiful flagpole as a replacement.
The Lefors citizens and cemetery committee would like to give a special thanks to them for their work.
Thank you to the Lefors city employees, county employees, Mayor Michael Ray and committee member Billy McBee as well as the school students.
And thank you Donnie Winegert for erecting the new pole.
