Kutter Snelgrooes tossed a two-hitter leading the T-Shirts & More Rays to a 10-4 win over the Glo-Valve Service Dodgers last week in Pampa Optimist 11-12 Cal Ripken action.
Snelgrooes aided his own cause with three runs, a double, a triple and three RBIs. He struck out 14, walked three, hit a batter and gave up only three earned runs.
A three- run homer by Austin Hunt highlighted a five-run first inning for the winners. Ayden Delgado chipped in three runs while Colby St. Ong added two more for T-Shirts & More. Paxton Daniels scored their other run.
Glo-Valve got an RBI double from Daniel Moncado, who also scored once. Carson Rogers, Gentry Stanhope and Weston Jones produced Glo-Valve’s other runs.
Stanhope had the only other hit for Glo-Valve.
Snelgrooes made the outstanding defensive play of the game for T-Shirts & More by faking a throw to second and tagging out a runner trying to score on the play. Rogers made Glo-Valve’s best defensive play with a caught stealing. Jones made the tag from his shortstop position.
Monday will find Glo-Valve visiting the Crawford Roofing Red Sox at 6 p.m. at Optimist Park. T-Shirts & More will host the Phillies at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
