Mary LoEtta Quarles, formerly of Shamrock, TX passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 in Colorado Springs, CO at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 19 days. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Heald Methodist Church in McLean, TX, with Thacker Haynes officiating. The church is located on Kellerville Rd. 3 miles north of McLeAN.
Arrangements and Cremation are by Robertson Funeral Directors in Shamrock, TX.
Mary was born on October 25, 1941 in Quail, TX to the late Thomas and Lorena (Ringgold) Newman. She grew up in Pampa, TX. She married Jesse D. Parks in 1960. He preceded her in death in 1994. She later married Jerry D. Quarles in 1995 in Pampa, TX. During her time in Pampa, she worked for 20 years in retail for Anthony’s and Bealls. She was a member of Heald Methodist Church in McLean, TX. She moved to Shamrock, TX in 2014 and lived there until relocating to Colorado Springs, CO in 2020.
Preceding her in death were: her parents; one son, Thomas Ray Parks; husbands, Jesse D. Parks and Jerry D. Quarles; and three brothers, Thomas Newman, Novis (Slim) Limuel Newman, and Floyd Newman.
Mary is survived by: two sons, Rodney Parks and wife, Betsy of Stinnett, TX and Tim Quarles and wife, Deana of Oklahoma; two daughters, Debbie Parks of Colorado Springs, CO and Gail Webb and husband, Don of White Deer, TX; One brother Cecil Newman of Pampa, TX; one sister, Brenda Parks of Pampa, TX; six grandchildren, Ricky Nichols and wife, Jessica of Pampa, TX, Gayla and husband, Tim of West Virginia, LaShonda Whittington and husband, Danny of Shamrock, TX, Jesse Parks and wife, Nicole of White Deer, TX, Aaron Brown and wife, Megan of Colorado Springs, CO, Alan York and wife Heather of Missouri, and Byrd Parks of Missouri ; seventeen great grandchildren; Jenna, Matthew, Blake, Kyler, Bella, Bree, Carly, Lizzie, Daniel, Nathan, Josh, Makenzie, Alyssa, Shariden, Shaylynn, Addie and Cayson; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
