Brenda Parks, 77, of Pampa, passed away on September 17, 2024, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Matthew Honeycutt, pastor of First Baptist Church of Lefors, officiating. 

Arrangements and burial are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The family will receive friends starting at 6:00 PM, Friday, at 510 Roberta St., Pampa, TX 79065.

Brenda was born on November 21, 1946, in Wellington to Limul and Lorena Newman. As a young girl her family moved to Pampa where she grew up and attended school. 

She would meet the love of her life, Raymond Parks in high school, and the high school sweethearts later married on February 14, 1964, in Pampa. Brenda and Raymond would start their lives together by having two daughters and later opening their own business, R & B Steel Buildings.

Brenda and Raymond would own and operate their family business for 25 years before retiring in 2011. Raymond would precede her in death in 2012.

Brenda loved her family, and she especially cherished having them around for the holidays. She also enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. Brenda will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tina Fisher; brothers, Novis “Slim” Newman, Thomas “Tommy” Newman, and Floyd Newman; and by a sister, Mary LoEtta Quarles.

Brenda is survived by a daughter, Rina Williams and husband Mark of Lefors; two granddaughters, Stephanie Liston and husband Russell of Amarillo, and Amber Trevino and husband Mark of Amarillo; great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Taylor, Hunter, Emily, and David; brother, Cecil Newman of Pampa; brother-in-law, Randon Parks and fiancée Brenna of Pampa; special nieces, Kelly Clark of Amarillo, and Charity Dickison of Skellytown; and other extended family.

The family would like to extend gratitude to Renee Nichols and Interim Hospice for their loving care for Brenda.
