Posted

The Pampa High School Varsity tennis team ended the fall season playing Dumas at Dumas on October 1.

The season ended on a positive note, winning eight matches and losing five.

Pampa had a rough time playing doubles, only winning two of our five doubles matches.

The number two boys’ doubles match of Toby Thompson and Alex Britten won 6-3, 3-6, 10-7.

The best match for Pampa was the mixed doubles match of Kallie Douthit and Conner White.

In this match Pampa quickly ended up being down 2-7 and were one game away from losing the match.

Our mixed doubles team then made a comeback, winning the next seven games and the match 9-7.

Singles is where Pampa played its best.

In boys singles the number one boy Shubh Doshi won his match 6-3, 6-4.

The number three boy singles Alex Britten won 6-2, 6-1.

The number four boy singles Toby Thompson won 6-4, 6-3.

The number five boy singles Robert Kreyling won 6-0, 6-3, and the number seven boy singles Jace Ruiz won his singles match 6-1, 6-2.

Our number two boys’ singles player Brandon Martinez also played a great match but, in the end, lost to his opponent.

In girls singles the number one girl Grace Guymon won her singles 6-3, 6-3.

Kallie Douthit playing number two girls singles also won her singles match 8-7(5).
