Every Friday evening in the fall you will see a player wearing the #32. This number is special in Pampa Football history as it is the jersey number worn by Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Zach Thomas. As a tribute to Zach, the Pampa High School football program will be retiring the #32 from the jersey circulation. From this day forward, the jersey #32 will be worn every Friday night by a different individual. That individual embodies that competitive spirit which Zach Thomas displayed every Friday night in the fall. The individual will be voted on and selected by the coaching staff.
The next individual selected by his coaching staff to have the honor of wearing #32 will be Bryce Lynn, senior wide receiver and defensive back. He normally bears the #15 but for the Perryton game he will be wearing the Zach Thomas #32.
How does it feel for Lynn to be the next one selected?
“It makes me feel proud because there is so much meaning behind the number 32,” Lynn said. “#32 means to be hard working, disciplined, committed and passionate in everything you do!”
Lynn is also a member of the Harvester basketball and track teams. He would love the chance to play football at the collegiate level. He is considering West Texas A&M, Midwestern State, and Texas Tech for colleges to attend. Lynn wants to major in Engineering
In his free time, Lynn enjoys golfing, video games, cooking and hanging with the family. His favorite subject is history. “It’s interesting to learn about the past and how we got to where we are now,” Lynn said.
