Hugo was born July 10, 2007 in Pampa to Gabriel and Yadira Hernandez. He attended schools in Pampa and was a Senior at Pampa High School. He was excited and proud that he was going to be graduating in May.

Hugo had a strong spirit and never complained about anything. He had a sense of style to him, as he always wanted to dress sharply and smell good. Hugo enjoyed having cookouts and having big gatherings; he was always the light of the party. He also enjoyed playing video games and was a jokester. Spending time with his family was important, especially his nieces and nephews. Hugo was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He also enjoyed traveling to Mexico to see his family when he could.

He is survived by his parents, Gabriel and Yadira Hernandez; sister, Judith Hernandez and husband Marco Tamayo of Pampa; two brothers, Wilfredo Hernandez and wife Maria and Gabriel Hernandez all of Pampa; grandmother, Maria Guerrero of Mexico; great grandmother, Elodia Rincon of Mexico; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Tamayo, Matthew Tamayo, Marcos Tamayo, Misael Tamayo, Natalie Hernandez, Jaylee Hernandez, Isabella Hernandez, and Aaliha Mali Hernandez; and numerous aunts and uncles.
