Donna Larson, 78, of Roanoke,Tx passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024 after a long and bravely fought battle with cancer and congestive heart failure. She was born on April 1, 1946, in Wheeler, Texas to JD and Dorothy Futch. But it was Pampa, TX Donna called home. It was there that she graduated from Pampa High School in 1964, and where she remained to raise a family of her own.

Donna had a son Bobby Don from a previous marriage of 10 years to Bob Burrows.

On March 25, 1977, Donna married her love, Jerry Larson. They shared a life full of unconditional love and uproarious laughter for 44 years until his passing in 2021. In 1978 Donna and Jerry welcomed a son of their own, August, into the family. Together, they raised both of their boys, supporting them in all of their many sports and extracurricular activities, through their boys’ college years and every day beyond.

For nearly 40 years, Donna followed her passion for hairstyling as a devoted cosmetologist, touching the lives of many with her skill and warmth. Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She adored her grandchildren and cherished her nieces and nephews, always making time for family gatherings and creating lasting memories. She was quick with a laugh - and a contagious one at that - and never turned down the opportunity for a good time. Wherever Donna was, there was fun.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Larson, as well as her father, J.D. Futch, and her mother, Dorothy Grace Futch. Donna is survived by her son, August Larson of Trophy Club; daughter-in-law, Laurie Larson of Trophy Club; son, Bobby Burrows of Tomball; brother, J.D. Futch of Houston; sister, Sandra Franks and husband Dennis Franks of Plano; grandchildren Reagan(9) and Reid Larson(6), Brant Dasheiff and wife Barbara of Plano, Taylor Burrows of Lewisville; and great-granddaughter Alaine Dasheiff.

Her legacy of love and compassion will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 10 AM at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Living for Zachary at (https://www.livingforzachary.org/donate-2/).
