Loyd “Wildman” Green, 62, of Pampa, passed away on June 27, 2024, at home with his family by his side holding his hand.

Services for Loyd are pending Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The family receive friends from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Friday at the Hampton Inn Conference Room.

Loyd was born on December 25, 1961, in Durant, Oklahoma to Lyn and Dorothy Green. 

As a young boy, he moved to Canadian, TX where he grew up and attended school. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S Army where he was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. Following his service to his country, he returned to Texas, living in Pampa. 

Loyd would meet Tammy Green and they later married on February 11, 2005. 

Loyd was a long-time commercial truck driver who drove various local companies that included Triangle, Parsley’s Roofing, among others.

Loyd was a fun-loving man who enjoyed golfing, going to the casino when he could, and spending time with his family- especially his grandchildren. 

He was a sweet and kind man who had an ornery side who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Green; and a sister, Brenda Ortega.

Loyd is survived by his wife, Tammy Green of the home; a son, Devan Cochran and wife Casey; four daughters, Carrie Green, Autumn Hunt and husband Ethan, Brittany Bridwell, and Cheyanne Green; five grandchildren, Brylee, Brantley, Emmerson, Asher, and Kennedy; two great-grandchildren, Sebastynn and Brixlee; a brother, Harvey Green; and other extended family.
