Sarah Nell Alexander, 81, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.

Sarah was born July 23, 1942, to Clayton and Christine White in her beloved hometown of Pampa, Texas. 

In 1972, she married Jim Alexander, to whom she was happily wed for 45 years. Sarah and Jim loved their family and friends, their cabin in Angel Fire, New Mexico, and skiing, golfing, and playing tennis together. They were residents of Pampa until they moved to Round Rock, Texas in 2013.

Sarah loved playing bridge and was a talented seamstress. She volunteered for many organizations in which her children were involved and was an avid reader and a wonderful cook. 

Her hospitality knew no bounds; her children’s friends always knew they were welcome to join the family for dinner, and they never left hungry. 

Sarah was also an active member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild.

Sarah is survived, loved, and remembered by her son, Greg Carter, daughters, Casey Robinson and Carrie Kotara, stepson, Mark Alexander, stepdaughter, Maria McGoldrick, sons-in-law, Brian Robinson and Brian Kotara, daughter-in-law, Susan Alexander, Greg’s partner, Amy Copes, Pat Carter, her first husband, eleven grandchildren, and ten great- grandchildren. 

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her daughter, Sarah Lou Carter, her stepson, Scott Alexander, and her brother, Richard White.

Private burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa at 10 a.m. on June 29, 2024. 

Family will receive friends directly after burial at St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
